It’s Summertime in St Louis and it’s HOT! Nothing is better on a hot day than a tall glass of Hibiscus Tea.
I use an orange when I make mine, the citrus blends perfectly with the floral notes of the hibiscus and I add just a touch of sugar to round out any bitterness from the rind for a perfect summer drink.

Hibiscus Tea
Ingredients
- 2 Bags Green Tea
- 1 Orange
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Dried Hibiscus Petals
Instructions
- Put 2 quarts of water in a pan or tea kettle with 2 bags of Green Tea, heat to a rolling boil. Pour into a 2 quart pitcher add the Hibiscus petals in a difusier along with an orange cut into 8 wedges and and the sugar. Let stand 20 minutes then place in the fridge to cool. Serve over ice.
